Data

All data is dealt with in accordance with Gateway Furniture’s Privacy Statement. We ensure that we have in place appropriate controls to protect any personal data you provide.


We ensure that access to personal data is restricted only to those staff members or volunteers whose job roles require such access and that suitable data protection training is provided for these staff members and volunteers.


Personal data will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be shared with other employees or volunteers of Gateway Furniture in order to carry out a service connected with Gateway Furniture.


Making a Referral

Referrals are valid for 14 days from the date you submit the referral. Gateway Furniture does not contact the client to arrange an appointment. Once the referral has been made, and you provide them with the printed referral voucher, it is the responsibility of the client to come into our shop (in Havelock Square, Swindon) during or normal opening hours.


Gateway Furniture can only provide items to client’s once within a 12 month period. If you are aware that your client has previously been referred, within 12 months, and there are exceptions circumstances please contact Gateway Furniture prior to making the referral.


Payment for Referrals

Payment must be made, by the client, prior to delivery of the chosen items of furniture. Up to a maximum of four items of furniture, not including a white goods, can be chosen for a cost of £10. If a white good is selected the cost is £40.


Stock Availability

Whilst Gateway Furniture strives to provide all the items that clients are referred for, there are times where items aren’t in stock. In these situations, Gateway Furniture will do its best but cannot guarantee availability. To help us ensure that as many people as possible are provided for please only refer clients for the emergency items they need.


We do not operate a waiting list and can only provide items, in stock, on the day the referral is completed; referrals are valid for 14 days from the date of referral.


Delivery

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that goods will fit into their property. In the event that items do not fit, goods will be returned to Gateway Furniture and a similar replacement item may be selected.


A delivery date will be agreed with the client at the time of choosing the items.


Should the client not be available to take delivery of the items at the agreed date the goods will be returned to the Gateway Furniture and held for a period of two working days. It is the client’s responsibility to contact us by phone to rearrange a delivery date. We reserve the right to apply an addition delivery charge when a client isn’t able to take collection of goods at agreed dates.


If it is not possible to rearrange a delivery within 5 working days of the original delivery date, the items will be made available for reselection.


  • Access to the room is free and unobstructed with any items that may be knocked or damaged removed.
  • Gateway Furniture staff will act with care, however, you accept full responsibility for any damage that may, unfortunately, occur.

  • Carpets and floor coverings are protected appropriately as Gateway Furniture staff's boots/protective clothing cannot be removed due to Health and Safety legislation and insurance purposes.

Any damage or fault found on items must be reported to Gateway Furniture as soon as reasonably possible.


Refund Policy

In the event of the return of items to Gateway Furniture because of failure to fit, an alternative, similar item may be selected. We reserve the right to apply an addition delivery charge in these circumstances.


If items are returned due to a fault or damage an alternative replacement will be provided.


If it is not possible to mend or replace white goods a full refund will be issued.


Guarantees

These are in addition to the client’s statutory rights


1. All electrical/white goods are guaranteed for a period of three months from the date of delivery, subject to correct installation and being used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Damage of items in transit by the client is not covered by this guarantee.


2. If an electrical/white good item is faulty within the guarantee period, we will endeavour to repair the fault. If the item is deemed to be unrepairable, then a replacement item of a similar standard will be provided. The guarantee on the replacement will run from the time the original item was purchased.


3. If Gateway Furniture are asked to check a fault within the guaranteed period we reserve the right to make a service charge. Details of this charge will be confirmed prior to investigations commencing.
